**Banquet photos are now up! Thanks Sherry for sending them in. **
Also for those who remember or may not know KARE 11 did a Perk at Play with the MN Extreme. You can watch the clip here. Or if you remember the article the Pioneer Press did, you can see that one here.

Ok this video was just brought to the attention of the PLX Yahoo group and I watched it and its looks like fun! It's called Horse-Ball and apparently is very popular in England and France. Enjoy!

Well the Banquet was a blast for everyone that attended and couldn't have ended the season any better. In case you missed anything, Tristan was voted Most Improved Rider, Sam Hauck voted Sportsmanship award, Cami (Paige's horse) was voted Best Horse, and Michael Johnson was awarded the Grass Stain Award. Pictures of the gifts and awards will be posted shortly, and trust me their worth the wait. I've also added the 2006 Year in Review, and a copy of next years new club structure that Kristi created.
The Board for next year consists of Kristi as President, Michelle Herzog Secretary/Treasurer, Renee Samuelson Member at Large, Sam Hauck Minnesota Club Rep, and Todd Marek Wisconsin Club Rep. It was also voted that we would like to have our APA sanctioned tournament June 30-July 1st. The next board meeting is also on Dec. 16th.

I just added the link to the video Paul Johnson uploaded of the A-grade championships game from Texas Nationals. The teams were Lonestar in blue against Southfork in white.
Also, Lonestar is putting on a 4 day clinic Dec. 26-29th which will then be followed up by a tournament hosted by Hill Country Dec. 31 and Jan. 1. Costs are estimated at $100-$200 for the clinic (which includes food and accommodations) plus a small entry fee for the tournament. The students will be divided into groups by skill level so the clinicians will be teaching what is appropriate for the level of the students. In 4 days time, they should be able to cover everything any student would want to learn. More information is to come....

It's been a week since the Tournament and I'm sure the memories are still fresh in our heads. Many of us, including myself, still crave the action of one more game. However, the season has almost come to an end and now we must look forward to the upcoming Banquet (November 4th, @ the OK Corral) and another Minnesota winter. I hope to see everyone there as we present the awards for Best Horse, Most Improved, & Sportsmanship, as well as the not-so coveted Grass-Stain award. You can see the flyer made by Sherry here. In addition, the last board meeting will be held this sunday 10/22. Topics to be discussed include a review of the 2006 finances, the splitting of the club, banquet plans, ways to support the World Cup players, and a general structuring of the 2007 summer.
I have also moved our posts from the trip to a new page located here, so that everyone can still enjoy reading them. I'm also still looking for more pictures to add from any of the events, including the Polo Classic for which I have none. I also recommend you send in some bio's before I have Kristi write them for you, and we all know she's quite capable at making interesting stuff up!

As you all must know by now, after the mass spamming of emails yesterday, I have given the web site a much needed facelift. Feel free to send me any good plx links and photo's to help keep things up-to-date. Remember to check back often, as I will try to update regularly.
